Kristina Cole scored her 1,000th point late in the first quarter Tuesday as the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers girls’ basketball team defeated the Medford Tigers 69-46 in Medford.

Cole scored her 1,000th point as she rebounded a miss and got the put back to go for the two points.

“Late in the first half, Kristina Cole scored her 1,000th point,” NRHEG coach John Schultz said. “The senior captain and four year starter, ironically enough, scored it on an offensive rebound put back.”

Carlie Wagner led the Panthers with 19 points, while Jade Schultz recorded 13 points.

NRHEG is back in Thursday at 7:15 p.m. as they play Randolph in New Richland.
