MASON CITY, Iowa– Lindy Pins scored 12 points, but the Mason City Newman Knights girls’ basketball team rallied to beat the Lake Mills Bulldogs 44-33 Friday in Mason City.

“We are having a hard time finishing a ball game,” Lake Mills coach Beth Van Roekel said. “When you are up 12 points you can’t let up, you got to keep pushing.”

The Bulldogs went into half-time with a 24-14 lead.

The Knights then outscored the Bulldogs 30-9 over the final two quarter to earn the win.

Jessica Balek led the Knights with 14 points.
