Lynzy Peters scored 17 points Tuesday as the Central Springs Panthers girls’ basketball team eliminated the Lake Mills Bulldogs 41-30 in the Class 2A Regional Quarterfinals in Manly.

Haley Mathews led the Bulldogs with 10 points.

“We struggled on the offensive side of the game tonight,” Lake Mills coach Beth Van Roekel said. “We played excellent defense, but if we can’t put the ball in the basket its hard to win.”

Lake Mills finishes the season with a 12-11 record and a 7-7 record in the North Iowa Conference.

“I am very proud of these ladies,” Van Roekel said. “They are great kids who work hard and never give up.”

The loss marks the end for four seniors as they graduate this spring.

The Bulldogs will lose seniors Lindy Pins, Haley Mathews, Amanda Lampman and Ali Gilbertson.
