Several former students of the Guenther School, District No. 130 are planning an informal reunion of students who attended the school and teachers who taught at the school. The reunion is planned for noon Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. at the Main Street Grill in Alden. Former students are asked to contact other students.

The Guenther School was located across the road from the Robert Guenther home 4 1/2 miles south of Alden. Students who attended the country school in the 1920s through the 1950s enjoyed memorable experiences in their elementary classes and with their teachers. During and after the no-host lunch at the Main Street Grill people can reminisce, sharing stories and pictures.
