Let’s not forget Thanksgiving Day just past. And to me, this Thanksgiving was met with both sadness and alarm.

The free enterprise pioneered by the Pilgrims has been an example to the world for more than 300 years. However, now, in a surprisingly short 10 months, our republic is being converted to dictatorial socialism. Without constitutional authority, 34 liberal czars regulate growing segments of the private sector while “equal before the law” is being replaced with special deals for those “too big to fail.”

As a result we are seeing record-breaking multi-trillion dollar deficit spending coupled with welfare expansion. The massive “stimulus” bill has left us with unemployment at 9.2 percent and rising. And, at the same time, we’re importing approximately 125,000 foreign workers each month and our country remains awash in record numbers of illegal aliens here for our low-skilled jobs. Finally, the largest tax increase in history is being followed with the promise of more tax hikes and socialized medicine.
