Katlynn Mary Nelson, daughter of Andy and Kelli Nelson, of Albert Lea, is studying in the Roman-Greco program during fall semester 2011 through the Office for Education Abroad at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph and Saint John’s University in Collegeville. Nelson is a junior biology major at CSB.

The Roman-Greco program gives students the opportunity to explore classical and contemporary art, history, religion and literature in Rome and Athens. While students will be exposed to Italian and Greek language, courses are taught in English, both in the classroom and on historical and archaeological sites or in museums. The focus is based on a structured curriculum, always leaving room for the exploration of unique opportunities presented by the intellectual and cultural resources of Italy and Greece. Jean Lavigne is the director for the program for fall 2011.
