Copper stolen from towers

Copper was reported stolen from two cell phone towers over the weekend.

According to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports, copper was reported stolen from a T-Mobile tower at 75239 150th St., southwest of Glenville. Copper was also reported stolen from a U.S. Cellular tower near the intersection of Freeborn County Road 85 and Freeborn County Road 18.

 

Man gets acid wash in eyes

Dispatchers received a call Friday evening of an employee at Renewable Energy Group, 15200 780th Ave., Glenville, who reportedly had acid wash in his eyes. No other information was available as of press time.

 

1 injured in car-bike crash

An injury traffic crash was reported at 3:12 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Margaretha Avenue and 13th Street. According to police the crash involved a car and a bicycle. One person was transported.

No other information was available as of press time to indicate whether the bike hit the car or the car hit the bike.

 

Tailgate stolen

A tailgate was reported stolen off of a pickup sometime overnight on Thursday at 2501 Hi Tech Ave., according to police. The incident was reported at 9:04 a.m. Friday.

 

Vehicle damaged

Damage was reported to the rear window and front windshield of an automobile at 2129 Bridge Ave. at 3:05 p.m. Friday, according to police.

 

Money box taken

A black money box with $20 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Bancroft Bay Park at 3:35 p.m. Saturday, police stated. The money belonged to a disc golf club.

 

Business window damaged

Damage was reported to a window at State Farm Insurance, 324 E. William St., at 3:53 p.m. Saturday, according to police. Reports indicated it appeared a rock or a piece of cement had been through the window.
