WELLS — The second-seeded United South Central boys’ basketball team beat No. 3 Maple River 59-56 on Tuesday.

The Rebels play next in the Section 2AA semifinals against top-seeded Hayfield at 8 p.m. on Monday at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Kyle Bauman led the Rebels with 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Jason Huper scored nine and Cole Stencel eight.
