Holy Week and Easter services at United Methodist Church
Published 9:15am Tuesday, April 3, 2012Holy Week services are announced at the United Methodist Church of Albert Lea. There are several opportunities for worship during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday. On Maundy Thursday, April 5, there will be two services available at 12:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. Both services will offer Communion and the Chancel Choir will sing at the evening service. On April 6, Good Friday, there will be one service at 7 p.m. The focus will be on the Seven Last Words of Christ. The chancel choir, Tower Ringers and Youth Bells will participate in the service.
On Easter Sunday there will also be two services. The contemporary service will be at 9 a.m. with Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. The festive traditional service begins at 10:30 a.m. with a festive processional. The Chancel Choir, Handbells and the Sunday school children will sing at this service. The Rev. Tom Biatek will preach at all services. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend these services. United Methodist Church is a handicapped accessible facility.
