United South Central’s Emily Mantor beat her own record in the 3,200-meter run again at the Hamline Elite meet on Friday placing 13th overall.

The Hamline Elite is a meet set up for the best athletes in Minnesota to compete against each other regardless of their class status.

“It’s quite an achievement just to get into the meet,” USC coach Kent Viesselman said. “There were just two Class A runners in Minnesota that made the cut for the 3,200. All of the other runners were from Class AA schools.”

To date, Mantor has lowered the record three times now, the last trimming another four seconds off with a time of 11 minutes and 22.50 seconds.

The previous school record, a time of 11 minutes and 42.8 seconds, was set by Lori Kruckeburg in 1980.
