The Albert Lea girls’ golf team placed third in the Big Nine conference tournament at Faribault on Thursday.

Rochester Mayo came in first and Owatonna came in second. The placings for the day match the overall team standings for the season.

Seniors Morgan Field and Paige Brick both shot their personal bests. Field shot an 89 and Brick a 96.

The other two scorers, Megan Pulley, 91, and Chelsey Battle, 103, brought the team score to 379.

The Tigers will play Thursday in the section tournament at Cannon Falls Golf Course beginning at 9 a.m.
