Klobuchar to be in parade
Published 10:05am Tuesday, July 3, 2012Politicians in the Third of July Parade on an election year are common, but it is not common to see a U.S. senator walking in the Albert Lea spectacle. U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, DFL-Minneapolis, is slated to walk today in the Third of July Parade.
Klobuchar, a former Hennepin County attorney, this fall will face the winning Republican from a primary fight between state Rep. Kurt Bills of Rosemount and Marine combat veteran and security company owner David Carlson of St. Paul.
The primary election is Aug. 14.
