Questions remain on Obama birth

Published 9:55am Thursday, August 30, 2012

Disregarding all the furor concerning Barack Obama’s legal status to serve, I also wonder how a person on a Fulbright Scholarship as a foreign student became a millionaire on a $12,000 per year job as a community organizer in Chicago?

Four simple questions to ask about Obama’s birth certificate:

1. Back: in 1961 people of color were called “Negroes.” So how can the Obama’s birth certificate state he is “African-American” when the term wasn’t even used at that time?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama’s birth as Aug. 4, 1961, and also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right?

At the time of Obama’s birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old and that Obama’s father was born in “Kenya, East Africa.”

This wouldn’t seem like anything of concern except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama’s birth and 27 years after his father’s birth.

How could Obama’s father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the “British East Africa Protectorate.”

3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is “Kapi’olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital.”

The name did not change to Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged.

How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

4.  Why hasn’t this been discussed in the major media?

That has got to be the most asinine letter ever printed in the AL Trib. Calling it a letter is actually too generous. It’s actually more of a copy/paste of 4 year old email forwards (we know how accurate those are).

If you need more than common sense to debunk it I suggest you try this link.

  2. Al Helgerson

The problem, Chris is the far right extremists (AKA fox news watchers) very rarely use any data that has any merit to it. They rant and write and forward about tweets, emails, talking points and things they heard on fox news that most often than not are views, not news that has been properly researched. If you ever listen to fox news on KAUS 99.9 they even admit it. Their phrase at the end of every newscast is…..Wait for it….. “Fox news, we report, you decide” How ridiculous is that?

  3. Scott Bute

I will not defend the writer’s letter. I am not a so called “birther”. If you really want to delve into our President’s roots, you need to see the documentary 2016 by former Dartmouth scholar Dinesh Desouza.
This movie is not the “hit piece” that the left will hysterically claim it to be. Instead, it is an extremely well researched and thought provoking journey into Barack Obama’s history. It really is nothing more than what the media should have done in a proper vetting process of a presidential candidate, however, they chose not to. Instead, we got to hear all about the private life of Sarah Palin and her children. The day after President Obama was inaugurated, Tom Brokaw was asked by an interviwer, “Do we really know who Barack Obama is or what his world view is?” This movie brilliantly answers the question and some of the answers will make you shudder. Give it a look.
Footnote: The movie defends Obama’s Hawaian birth record.

In the end the idiot birthers will find that Obama is not even a “negro” and all their worries, fears, lies, and stockpiles of guns will be for naught. They can’t seem to figure out their own lives so they attempt destroying others. Total crap!!
