Still no coroner’s report in dead body casePublished 9:34am Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said Monday that authorities are still waiting for the results of an autopsy on a dead body found in Albert Lea’s Garden Villa subdivision earlier this month.
Winkels said he will not release any additional information until he receives a report from the coroner’s office.
The body was found by a resident on the 100 block of Will-O-Bruce Drive after the resident reportedly smelled an odor and then discovered the body in a nearby wooded area.
The body was taken to the Dakota County Medical Examiner’s Office, which is standard procedure under unknown circumstances.
The Garden Villa sudivision is west of Graceland Cemetery, across West Main Street from the Albert Lea Family Y.
