BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Awesome Blossoms recovered from a slow start to beat Minnesota Valley Lutheran (2-2 overall) 54-28 in a football game in BP Friday.

The Blossoms (3-1 overall) led just 25-20 early on but they scored three fourth quarter touchdowns to put the game away.

BP senior Michael Thomas had 132 yards receiving with three touchdowns and he also ran a punt back 60 yards for TD.

“Michael does a lot of things for us,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said. “He made a lot of plays tonight on offense and defense.”
