The Alaska String Band will be coming to the United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Oct. 7. They will present a gospel concert with refreshments following the concert. Hailing from Alaska, this popular nationally touring group is known for their high-quality string music. The church is located at 702 S. Highway 69, Albert Lea. Tickets are available at the church office, at the door or online at alaskastringband.ticketbud.com. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, $20 for a family and ages 5 and under are free. The group will also be at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center Oct. 6 presenting a unique show on Alaskan heritage and history.
