The Albert Lea Police Department announced this weekend it has received the autopsy report of a 3-month-old baby who died in June.

Police declined to release any other information at this time but stated the investigation into the death is ongoing.

The baby was brought into Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea on June 13 after he was having trouble breathing. He died at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester two days later.

In an interview the week of the baby’s death, Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said there were no obvious signs of foul play, and the department was investigating because of the child’s age.
