Police receive autopsy report

The Albert Lea Police Department announced this weekend it has received the autopsy report of a 3-month-old baby who died in June.

Police declined to release any other information at this time but stated the investigation into the death is ongoing.

The baby was brought into Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea on June 13 after he was having trouble breathing. He died at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester two days later.

In an interview the week of the baby’s death, Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said there were no obvious signs of foul play, and the department was investigating because of the child’s age.

 

7 underage drinkers cited

Seven people were cited for underage drinking early Sunday morning after the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an asssault at 63664 310th St., west of Hartland.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports indicated Samantha Eileen Sprague, Codie John Riedlinger, Amanda Lee Westcott, Samantha Whitney Reim, Jordan Wayne Fitzlaff and Adam John Flategraff were cited for underage drinking, along with at least one juvenile.

Matthew Ross Hunnicutt was cited for social host violation.

The person injured was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. The extent of his injuries are unknown as of press time.

 

Woman cited for violation

Police cited Tiffany Ann Carlson for open bottle violations after a traffic stop at 3:05 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Main Street, according to reports.

 

Window reported broken

A basement window was reported broken out of 14671 728th Ave., Glenville, at 1:48 p.m. Sunday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Combine damaged

A fence post and a combine were reported damaged at the intersection of 820th Avenue and 130th Street at 2:12 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
