An inmate at the Mower County jail who threw chairs and refused to lock down in his cell in February has pleaded guilty to a felony in Mower County Court.

Cory Lee Cassidy, 28, of Austin, pleaded guilty to first-degree property damage Thursday.

Cassidy refused to lock down or be handcuffed by officers and threw chairs at a door, according to the court complaint. He then attempted to barricade a door and prevent officers from getting to him; however, he broke a table valued at $1,119 in the process. One day later, Cassidy again refused to lock down and broke a sprinkler head worth $246, the complaint adds.
