The search for Miss Teen Freeborn County announced

If you are single, never been married and between the ages of 13 to 18 years, applications are being accepted for the title of 2012 Miss Teen Freeborn County. Miss Teen Freeborn County will represent her county at the Miss Teen Minnesota pageant, which will be held at the Ritsche Auditorium, March 16 and 17, 2013, in St. Cloud.

The young woman chosen as Miss Teen Freeborn County will become an ambassador from the Freeborn County area and will receive an official title and sash.

The young woman chosen as Miss Teen Minnesota will receive a prize package and scholarship totaling $10,000 and the chance to represent Minnesota at the 2012 Miss Teen International pageant.

The American Heart Association’s Go for Red for Women is the official charity of the Miss Teen Minnesota Pageant.

The current reigning 2012 Miss Teen Minnesota is Gabby Taylor of Stillwater. As Miss Teen Minnesota, Taylor speaks out on “Accidents Hurt, Safety Doesn’t.” Dec. 17, 2009, changed Taylor’s life in an instant when she lost the use of her right arm when it was paralyzed due to a devasting cheerleading accident. Taylor said what happened to her could happen to anyone involved in extracurricular sports. Taylor wants to educate students and coaches on injury prevention and safety awareness.

Teens will compete in personal interview, fitness wear, fun fashion wear and evening gown. There is no talent or swimsuit competition.
