Out of 61 kindergarten families, 28 were able to attend.

Kindergarten students and their families had a meal together. Then parents watched a short presentation about what kindergarten students have been working on in school and what they can do at home to support their child’s learning.

Families then broke off into groups and went to different kindergarten rooms to make a literacy game, math game and to read books.

Staff would like to thank the Hawthorne parent-teacher organization for donating food for the event.

They would also like to thank Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services for donating books that each child could take home.
