Car theft reported

A car was reportedly stolen from a Hayward property and sold to a junkyard in Kensett, Iowa. The incident was reported to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office around 11 a.m. Saturday.

 

Fight breaks out; 1 hit with bottle

Albert Lea Police responded to a fight at 1:31 a.m. Sunday at 134 W. William St., or the Nasty Habit bar. A group was fighting, and one person was reportedly hit with a bottle. One person was transported to a hospital by an ambulance.

 

Injury crash reported

At least one person was injured in a crash at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Freeborn County Road 46 and Minnesota Highway 13. The Tribune is waiting for a media report from the State Patrol for more information on the crash.

 

Safe reported damaged

A delivery person reported to the Albert Lea Police Department around 3 a.m. today that a safe was found open and damaged with apparent torch marks at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 2221 E. Main St.

 

Window of truck broken

A window was reported broken out of a pickup truck to Albert Lea Police at 4:30 p.m. Friday. The reporting party thought it may have happened Wednesday or Thursday.

 

Money stolen

A theft of $500 from an apartment at 1201 Garfield Ave. was reported to police at 9:40 p.m. Friday.

 

Criminal damage reported

Albert Lea Police responded to a call at 2 p.m. Saturday of holes in the siding at 1714 Canary Drive. The reporting party thought someone may have shot the house with some kind of weapon.
