How You Can Help

Here are some of the volunteer openings in Freeborn County.  If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for other things, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.

ARC of Freeborn County: Help cook and serve the annual soup and chili fund raiser supper on Nov. 19 at First Lutheran Church. Volunteers are needed throughout the day beginning with a 9 a.m. to noon shift in the morning to chop vegetables, stir the pots, and the afternoon shift from noon to 4 p.m. for setting tables and cooking; then from 4 to 7:30 p.m. to sell tickets and serve and bus tables. Call the ARC at 377-3469 to reserve the time that fits you best.

Tree decorating: Do you like to decorate for the holidays? Help plan and decorate a tree for the Albert Lea Art Center holiday display. RSVP/Senior Resources can have a tree if you and several friends will help. This can be scheduled to fit your preference and needs to be done before Thanksgiving. Call 377-7433 to give Senior Resources and RSVP a presence this holiday.
