AUSTIN — A loose dog is now back at its rightful home after its owner discovered someone trying to sell it on Facebook.

According to the Austin Police Department’s dispatch notes, the blind pug went missing on Saturday and ended up for sale on Facebook for $300.

“It looks like the dog got loose, someone found it, attempted to sell it,” said Police Capt. Dave McKichan.

The owner saw the ad and contacted police, and police returned the dog to the owner. No citations were issued.
