New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva’s T.J. Schiltz placed 17th at the Class A state cross country meet in Northfield on Saturday.

Schiltz ran a time of 16 minutes, 28.9 seconds.

The Class A boys’ champion was senior Matt Welch of Proctor. Welch ran a time of 15:34.
