The Freeborn County Relay for Life has shown strong support for those of us dealing with cancer.

It also gives hope to others that might have to travel this road in the future.

I was one of the honorary chair-women for the 2012 Relay for Life.

The honor was a most humbling experience. The positive reinforcements keep reminding me of how lucky we are to live in this community.

Our good Lord has been my strength and hope.

My husband, kids, in-laws and grandkids first and foremost have been my love and support from the oldest to the very youngest.

My many friends have traveled with me all the way.

I have met some of the most caring people while giving speeches to the Rotary, the Cancer Support Group and the Relay at the fairgrounds.

Lots of people count their blessings with money and material things.

I count my blessings with loved ones and everyone that has crossed my path.

This is a great community! The support is awesome!

I will never give up.
