Ronald Gore, 61, Zimmerman

Ronald F. Gore, 61, of Zimmerman, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. Ron’s unwavering faith in the Lord helped him fight a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert and brother Randy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon; children Michelle (Russell) Kostreba and Amanda Gore (Jason Farris); grandson Jaxxon and one on the way and his mother Arline Gore.

He is also survived by his siblings Karen (John) Szymanowski, Dennis (Julie) Gore, Joan (Russell) Miller, Susan (Bob) Julius; sister-in-law Sherry Brandt and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ronald was a charter member of the Bible Baptist Church of Otsego. He served as a deacon and loved his church family. He loved his savior Jesus Christ.

Ron was a faithful husband, loving father and happy grandfather. He was an honest dedicated worker at Quality Tool of St. Paul, where he excelled as a welder. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, biking, working on cars and woodcutting. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

He left us in peace. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zimmerman Evangelical Free Church 25620 W. Fourth St., Zimmerman.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church Monday.

Interment will be at Bellwood Cemetery in Zimmerman.

Memorials preferred.
