- Lacie Farris and her friends Sophia Brownlee, Navaha Douglas, Jazmyne Douglas and Josie Moffitt are all classmates in the second grade at Hawthorne Elementary School. Shortly after they heard about Hurricane Sandy they started collecting money to give to the American Red Cross to use to help those in need. They collected $11.10. The American Red Cross would like to thank these girls for their gift. — Submitted
