United Way reaches 58 percentPublished 5:30pm Saturday, December 8, 2012
The United Way of Freeborn County reports this week it has a total of $385,000 raised toward its annual fall campaign. That’s about 58 percent of the target figure: $660,000.
“We have had a verbal estimate, but not an actual amount yet from some local firms,” said Ann Austin, director of the United Way of Freeborn County. “We still are waiting to hear back from many of our larger firms also and are checking in with people we haven’t heard from yet.”
The goal reflects the funding that will be given to 29 programs in 16 agencies.
