Vikings linemen alternates for Pro BowlPublished 9:42am Friday, December 28, 2012
Vikings offensive linemen John Sullivan and Matt Kalil were voted alternates to the NFC Pro Bowl team, coach Leslie Frazier said Thursday and while fullback Jerome Felton will join Adrian Peterson on the Pro Bowl team, Frazier said he was disappointed none of the Vikings’ offensive linemen were credited for helping Peterson approach Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record.
“I thought for sure both John and Matt, although they made it as alternates, were worthy of being Pro Bowl players,” Frazier said. “I’m happy for Jerome, and obviously for Adrian, but our offensive line has done a terrific job all season long. I think Phil (Loadholt) has done a good job this season, as well.”
Sullivan was passed over in favor of Green Bay center Jeff Saturday, who was named to the team despite being benched by the Packers.
