Man arrested for DWI

Albert Lea police arrested Baron Montero Jones, 30, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree test refusal, leaving the scene of a crash and an open bottle violation after his vehicle reportedly hit a pole at the intersection of Main Street and Garfield Avenue at 2:17 a.m. Sunday. Jones was reportedly transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and then the Freeborn County jail.


Tires reported slashed

Two tires were reported slashed on a vehicle at 106 N. Central Ave. in Geneva at 7:13 p.m. Friday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.


Vehicles damaged

A 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was reported damaged while parked at a friend’s house on Southview Lane on Saturday morning, according to Albert Lea police.

A 2000 white Chevrolet Malibu was reported damaged at 1018 Pinehill Drive at 10:28 a.m. Saturday, according to police.


Cash, money orders taken

Three money orders and $350 in cash were reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle parked behind Eddie’s Bar, 719 Marshall St., sometime overnight Friday, according to police. The incident was reported at 5:36 p.m. Saturday.


Items damaged

A TV set was reported smashed and paint sprayed over several belongings at 1007 Gene Ave. at 7:58 p.m. Saturday, according to Albert Lea police.


Man arrested for domestic assault

Albert Lea police arrested Brandon Allen Miller, 31, for domestic assault at 1:35 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Interstate 35, according to reports.
