Austin Duplicate Bridge Club
The Austin Duplicate Bridge Club recorded the following results in recent play on Jan. 23. First place: Dave Magee and Stan Schultz; second: Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends; third: Bud Higgins and Loren Cleland; fourth: Orrion Roisen and Dave Ring.
Duplicate bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Village Cooperative, 2301 10th St., NW, Austin, off Exit 77 from Interstate 90, two blocks north of Walmart. All bridge players are welcome. Call 434-4189 for partnership assistance or additional information.
Hayward 4-H Club
The Hayward 4-H Club met for its monthly meeting on Jan. 13 at the Hayward town hall. President Kristen Hahn called the meeting to order. New cloverbud members Joe Schei, Carter James and Alyssa Olson were introduced.

During the meeting the cloverbuds did their own fun activity of making puppets and coloring. After hearing the secretary and treasurer’s reports the club talked about officer training, the club banquet, share the fun and fundraiser ideas for the upcoming year. The club had a fun activity toward the end of the meeting called “Getting to know you better.” After the meeting Brenda Hahn and Michelle Wagner served refreshments. The next meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Hayward town hall.
