The graduation was a four corners candlelight ceremony. The club president, Bruce and Donna Stolaas, lit the candles at each corner. Each corner was explained. The first corner is friendship, the second corner is duties, the third corner is democracy and the fourth corner is fun. Each new member wore a graduation cap made by Mary Ann Depoppe and Helen Weik.

They also gave each new square dancer a necklace that read “I’m hooked on square dancing.” Kent Craun read about square dancing.

The club’s new dancers are Al and Bonnie Vesper, Walt and Elaine Wicks, Reade Bronner, Darlene Ravenhorst, Bonnie Williamson, Al and Norma Hoerler and Charlotte Stensrud. Carol Rye will graduate at a later date.

Mehus was the teacher for the new members. The club would like to thank her. The servers for the evening were Jim and Maren Ring. The next dance was Saturday with Valentine’s treats.
