Here are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.

Freeborn County Bike-A-Thon: Call LeAnn Juveland at 507-402-6960 to help with the registrations or Pat Stumme at 377-7433 for a two-hour shift to help host riders returning to the warming house. The 41st Freeborn County Bike-A-Thon is starting at 6 a.m. May 4 at the Sibley Elementary School warming house. Registration nights are from 5 to 7 p.m. May 2 and 3 at Skyline Plaza.

Farmers market: Volunteers at the farmers market will help children experience growing food and sampling produce at the market. Contact Verlys Huntley at 507-297-5546 to help this project grow beginning May 15 through Oct. 31.
