Tiger girls’ basketball players earn honors

A trio of girls from the Albert Lea varsity girls’ basketball team led the squad in scoring during the 2012-13 season. From the left are junior Sydney Rehnelt (15.4 points per game), junior Bryn Woodside (16.0 ppg) and sophomore Megan Kortan (8.1 ppg). Rehnelt was Big Nine All-Conference honorable mention and First-Team All-Area. Woodside was All-Conference and First-Team All-Area. Kortan earned All-Conference Honorable Mention and Third-Team All-Area honors. The Tigers finished 11-14 overall and 7-10 in the conference. — Submitted
