I-35 ramp closed after semi overturns

The Freeborn County Road 46 ramp to Interstate 35 southbound was closed for several hours Monday morning because of an overturned semi.

Traffic was diverted up to the I-35 and Interstate 90 interchange.

No one was injured.

The County 46 ramp is at I-35’s Exit 11.

 

Windows broken out

Windows were reported broken out of seven pieces of equipment with a BB gun at Ulland Bros., 2400 Myers Road, at 12:51 p.m. Monday, according to Albert Lea police.

 

Damage reported to gas station sign

Damage was reported to the BP gas station sign at 1311 W. Front St. at 4:59 p.m. Monday, according to Albert Lea police. One juvenile was reportedly cited from the incident, and two others were taken home to their parents.

 

Gas drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was reported at Nelson’s Shell, 122 Bridge Ave., at 8:33 a.m. Monday, according to Albert Lea police. The suspect reportedly left toward Fountain Street.

 

Two arrested for felony theft

Albert Lea police arrested Tara Lynn Callahan, 22, and Boni Jean Elizabeth Utley, 24, for felony theft after they reportedly stole a purse that had been left in a cart at Nelson’s Market Place, 1619 W. Main St., reports stated. The value of the purse and its contents were estimated at $1,155.
