Dr. Merle Charles Bah of Maplewood died March 17, 2013, at the age of 84. Merle was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Woodworth, N.D. He graduated from Evansville High School in 1946, where he participated in sports and music. Merle did his pre-med at Concordia College in Moorhead. He graduated from the University of Minnesota medical school in 1954 and was a radiologist in several Minnesota cities. He was a captain in the U.S. Air Force.

Merle is preceded in death by parents, Helmer and Nettie (Johnson) Bah; and sister, Genevieve (Elmer) Herbranson. He is survived by daughters, Lisa Bah (Mike Cooley) and Rachael (John) Werner; siblings, Curtis (Marilyn) Bah and Betty Lou Bah-Olson; and grandson Kieran Cooley. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. May 10 at Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville. Military honors and internment will follow at the Mound Grove Cemetery in Evansville.
