Fireworks fundraiser scheduled

The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce and KATE/KCPI radio are holding their annual fireworks fundraiser beginning at 6 a.m. May 31. Chamber staff, KATE staff and volunteers will be standing on the corner of Broadway and Main collecting donations for the Fourth of July fireworks display. The goal for the Fourth of July fireworks fundraiser is $16,000.

Those wishing to donate can donate May 31, drop of a donation at Geneva Bar & Grill in Geneva, Jordahl Meats in Manchester, Village Cafe and Nielsen’s Cenex in Hartland, Citizens State Bank in Glenville, Gopher Stop in Clarks Grove, Produce State Bank in Hollandale and locations in Albert Lea including Produce State Bank, KATE Radio, Hanson Tire, Shell Food Mart, Thorne Crest, Trumble’s, Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau and Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce.

Donations can also be mailed to Fireworks Fund, 2580 Bridge Ave., Albert Lea.
