The Albert Lea softball team lost 10-0 Wednesday at Mankato West.

The Scarlets used a seven-run third inning to take a 10-run lead.

“They’re a good-hitting ballclub,” Albert Lea head coach Dan Harms said. “They’ll probably win the conference, because they’re very deep in pitching also.”

Haley Harms pitched all five innings for the Tigers. She allowed eight hits in 23 at-bats and struck out one batter.

Dominique Villarreal led Albert Lea at the plate with a double.

The Tigers have a 4-6 overall record, after they won four of their first six games.

Next, Albert Lea hosts Rochester Mayo at 5 p.m. Friday.
