Tigers continue slidePublished 2:25am Wednesday, May 15, 2013
Despite earning more hits than Faribault in both games of a doubleheader, the Albert Lea baseball team was swept Tuesday by the Falcons.
The Tigers lost game one 2-1 and game two 5-4.
In game one, the Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the opening inning, as Dylan See-Rockers scored on a single to center field by Zach Bordewick, Albert Lea head coach Joe Sczublewski said.
However, Faribault tied the game in the bottom of the third inning and scored the winning run in the seventh.
In game two, the Tigers rallied from a four-run deficit by scoring three runs in the fifth, but the Falcons prevailed.
After starting the season with a 6-2 record, Albert Lea is on a five-game slide.
Next, the Tigers play a doubleheader at Rochester Century at 4 p.m. Thursday.
