3 injured in crash

GLENVILLE — Three people were reportedly injured Thursday afternoon after a rear-end collision with three cars near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Freeborn County Road 13.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2005 Dodge Neon and a 2004 Dodge Durango were stopped behind another vehicle turning at the intersection, when a 2005 Ford Ranger reportedly struck the back of the Neon, pushing it into the Durango.

Daniel E. Virnala, 20, of Osage, Iowa, the driver of the Ford Ranger, was injured, along with Michael A. Tuma, 24, of Glenville, the driver of the Neon, and Katie Clark, 22, of Alden, the driver of the Durango. All injuries were not life-threatening.

The State Patrol indicated all of the people in the crash were wearing their seat belts.

Alcohol was not detected.
