Area churches have teamed up with Okoboji Lutheran Bible camp to host a summer vacation Bible school day camp.
Registration and health forms are available at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salem Lutheran Church and Central Freeborn Lutheran Church.
Cost is $30 per child, with a maximum of $50 per family. Any child entering first through sixth grade is eligible. A special Bible school will be held for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Older children attend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Bible school camp is open to the community. Register with any of the above churches to join.
The camp starts with pizza and root beer floats at 5 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Then the camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Edgewater Park’s cottage. Children need to bring a sack lunch, though a morning snack and beverage are provided.
The camp ends Thursday evening at 6 p.m. with a potluck picnic and program by the children at Edgewater Park’s main pavilion.
