Kenneth W. Andersen, 81, of Lyle, died on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System of Austin. Kenneth Wayne Andersen was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Austin to Theodore Peter and Ethel Edna (McCorkill) Andersen. He married Sadie Oldenkamp on July 15, 1978, in Oakland. Together they lived on the farm near Lyle where Kenneth had lived since 1946. Kenneth enjoyed spending time on the farm where he enjoyed hunting in earlier years. Kenneth will be missed by his family and friends and his puppy, Charley.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Andersen of Lyle; two sisters-in-law, Trish Andersen of Rose Creek and Donna Andersen of Austin; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ethel Andersen; and five brothers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Visitation will be at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
