It has been brought to my attention that calling far-right Republicans far-right loons is an insult to the Minnesota state bird. I have to apologize for this. I’ve been using this to get even with Bill O’Reilly.

He uses this term all the time to talk about Democrats but never uses it on a Republicans. So if I use it again in the future, try to remember this. I know there are a lot of Fox News addicts who believe they are getting the straight facts from them. Most of these people obviously don’t have very much common sense. If you listen to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck or Bill O’Reilly long enough you will figure out their game. Their game goes like this. They will say something that everyone agrees with and then talks about something that is way over everyone’s head, using figures and fictional facts that you can’t argue with or check on. So people with no common sense will think to themselves, well, he was right about the thing everyone agrees with, so he must be right about this, too.

You have read a lot of letters to the editor defending Fox News, saying how fair and balanced it is. Such statements have to come from people with little common sense. They also accuse MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS for being far left. I will agree MSNBC leans toward the left, but the other three all they do is report the news. If something is said that makes the Republicans look bad, its because it is a fact. If something happens to make the Democrats look bad they report this also. When you listen to Fox News they accuse the news media of being biased against the Republicans when all they do is report the facts.

There are so many negative things to say about the Republicans, so they make it so easy for anyone talk about their transgressions. I have an acquaintance who is a Fox News addict. She has been wearing black since Barack Obama got elected president. I told her that Obama would be flattered that she was commemorating the first black president. She didn’t seam to find any humor in this at all. Just so you all know, my favorite sport is picking on far-right Republicans. They make it so easy. It’s also a lot of fun.
