According to a press release, Minnesota Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen was announced as a nominee for the 2013 ESPY awards in the Best WNBA Player category.

Whalen had an outstanding year with the Lynx in 2012, leading the league in assists for the second straight season (5.4 apg) as Minnesota returned to the WNBA Finals.
