Minnesota House Majority Leader Erin Murphy and District 27A Rep. Shannon Savick will host a roundtable discussion today with seniors at St. John’s Lutheran Home to discuss new legislation that impacts seniors and nursing home workers.

The meeting will begin at 2 p.m.

After $1 billion in cuts to the Health and Human Services budget during the last biennium, the new state budget provides a 5 percent increase for nursing home workers and a 1 percent increase for long-term care workers for the first time in four years, according to a news release.
