A.L. volleyball match is in limboPublished 3:42am Wednesday, August 28, 2013
The Albert Lea volleyball team beat Southland 25-14 in Game 1 and led 21-15 in Game 2, when play was suspended.
“We were playing well, but the floors were damp and slippery, because they didn’t have any fans (to circulate the air),” Albert Lea head coach Lisa Deyak said.
A postponement date has yet to be scheduled and is unlikely, according to Deyak.
Annie Ladwig and Julia Deyak led the Tigers with six kills each, and setter Bryn Woodside had a team-high 19 assists.
Camryn Keyeski led Albert Lea with eight digs and six ace serves.
Taylor Willis and Kassi Hardies tied on the defensive side of the net with a team-high two blocks.
