How you can tell Obamacare is good

In answer to Tom Jacobson’s letter on Aug. 15, “Obamacare not meeting promises,” it is obvious Tom is another Fox News addict. Everything he talked about has been said on Fox News. Fox News is the most unfair and unbalanced network on the air. Who watches Fox News? People from the far right and people with common sense like me that get amused at the way they put such a twist on the truth.

They have been blasting Obamacare, but they don’t say what is so bad about it. They say it is bad for the Average Joe but give no reason. Let’s try and put a little common sense to it. If Obamacare is so bad they would be for it, because it would make the Democrats look bad. The Republicans were against Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and now Obamacare. They know the Average Joe will be happy with it after it takes effect, and they are putting all these scare tactics out hoping to stop it from coming into effect.

They have voted 40 times to undo Obamacare and haven’t got the job done yet. Obama has had a jobs bill that he has tried to get through this Republican Congress, but it keeps getting filibustered out every time it comes up.

If you ever lose your job and have to go and buy your health insurance you will appreciate Obamacare. On the market right now to pay for it takes up almost all of your unemployment check. Ask anyone who has lost their job. Where does Obamacare save so much money? They don’t have to pay for advertisement or insurance sales people and all the overhead insurance companies have now.

Doesn’t this make sense? If this doesn’t make sense you can call the paddy wagon and lock me up now because I must be nuts. Just remember what I said: If Obamacare was bad for the Average Joe, the Republicans would be for it. I would like to see someone put a letter in the paper and write about anything they think the Republicans have ever done for them. I can’t think of one thing.
