Man arrested on warrant

Mark Allen Kuiper, 33, was arrested Friday on a Freeborn County warrant and transported to the Freeborn County jail, according to Albert Lea police.

Police came to an address where two men and one woman were fighting. The front door had been broken.

The address had been redacted on the police logs. The time of the incident was listed as 8:51 p.m.

 

Cat abandoned at McDonald’s

People driving a silver Toyota van with Quebec plates abandoned a cat Friday morning at McDonald’s Restaurant, 609 E. Main St.

The call to the Albert Lea Police Department came at 9:52 a.m.

“Someone was willing to take the cat home,” states the incident report.

 

Man cited for too many animals

Albert Lea police cited Lavern Otto Alt of 1710 E. Hawthorne St. for having too many dogs and an unlicensed animal. The police incident report stated he had six dogs and three horses. A caller told police Alt’s animals were causing “lots of green flies” in the neighborhood. The citation was at 8:47 a.m. Saturday.

 

Man rides scooter, gets arrested

Police arrested Shane Richard Bolinger, 30, for third-degree driving under the influence and for refusing an alcohol breath test. Police pulled him over at 12:01 a.m. Saturday while riding on a scooter, according to police reports.

 

Man arrested after fight

Albert Lea police arrested Nathan Dale Register, 33, on suspicion of felony domestic violence and felony strangulation. A third-party caller witnessed a fight at 9:41 p.m. Friday at 308 Euclid Ave.

 

Car hits, runs

An automobile was side-swiped at the Walmart parking lot Thursday, and the owner called police about the hit-and-run incident Friday, according to the police.

 

Man cited for burning furniture

Albert Lea police cited Nicholas James Busall, 29, for burning furniture in his back yard at 910 James Ave. The time of the report to police was 8:18 p.m. Saturday.
