Faith Baptist Church
On Tuesday an ordination council was held for the purpose of examining the Rev. Jerry Miller. Miller is a member of Faith Baptist Church, and is a church planter in Worthing, S.D. The council consisted of 35 pastors and messengers representing 24 different churches from Minnesota, Iowa and Michigan. Following the recommendation of the council an ordination service was held on Sept. 17 in which Miller was set apart unto the ministry of the gospel.
Miller and wife, Crystal, have been sent out as missionary church planters from Faith Baptist Church of Albert Lea. They are partnering together with Continental Baptist Missions as they serve in the Sioux Falls, S.D., area. A commissioning service at Faith Baptist Church is set for 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Special speakers for that service include, the Rev. Bill Jenkin, president of Continental Baptist Missions, and the Rev. Darrell Friar, state representative of the Minnesota Association of Regular Baptist Churches and director of Bass Lake Camp in Winnebago. Miller will be preaching in the evening service at 6 p.m.
The members of Faith Baptist Church invite all to come and worship with them as they make much of the great God in these services.
