24 cited for seat belt violations

Albert Lea police cited 24 people for failing to wear a seat belt during an enforcement wave that concluded Oct. 19.
During the span of increased enforcement, three people were arrested for driving under the influence, and one was arrested on a warrant.
In addition, five drivers were cited for child restraint violations, seven were cited for not having a valid driver’s license, 11 were cited for speeding and nine were cited for other violations.
The next enforcement period will concentrate on drunken driving enforcement over the Halloween holiday.
